UK Older People’s Day is taking place this year on Thursday 1 October 2009, coinciding with the UN International Day for Older People. It aims to tackle outdated stereotypes around ageing by bringing people of all ages together, and events will be held in local communities across the UK under the banner of ‘Full of Life’.
